A few photos from the Lake District on an unseasonal, cold and wet Mayday. It's been a tough winter for wildlife in Cumbria, and it's a tough spring as well. Snow covered the Lake District at all but the lowest levels for the last few days, and higher fells were well coated. Crag nesting birds such as Ravens and Peregrines will have been hard-hit. I managed to get a nice shot of this roe deer by the River Lowther, but no signs yet of the otters.
